Motico at the Rock Star Bar Friday

Whoops, another last-minute show comes our way! When it rains, it pours (say did that saying exist before Morton Salt? cuz it sort of doesn't make sense outside the context of a product like salt, known for sticking in high humidity, is rendered 'pourable' by the iodization process that made Morton famous. Just sayin'.)

um, anyway we're playing at the Rock Star Bar in Williamsburg on Friday night. We shall be performing with Jason Frederick and Lawrence Kim and some others, it's like Clash of the Titans!

This shit just dropped right out of the sky

On Monday evening, as we were winding down after band practice, Buzz was heard to remark, "Ya know, we should book some shows soon." As usual, the booking gods heard him and dropped a show right in our laps. Our pals in the bristling 500ma asked us to fill out their show at the mammoth Club Europa in Greenpoint Brooklyn. It's coming up quick, this Sunday at 7:00PM. More details to follow, but for the time being I'm trying to get Buzz to mention how badly we need a PA, new amps and a pony.

In the Studio ... Sort of

We're going into a studio tomorrow night, but not to record anything Motico-related. We're backing a friend of ours and recording some music for her one-woman show. So we're studio musicians for a night. We learned 3 songs the other day and will record these and maybe one more if time permits. I haven't been in professional recording studio in many years. Actually, come to think of it, I've NEVER been in a real studio. Unless you count the studio on our college campus TCOM building. Whoa, I never thought about that before. Every 'studio' I've ever been in has been some DIY style back-room, basement kind of thing. But Motico is planning on doing just that, finding a real studio to do our songs justice.

Song Library

Myspace is running out of room for our songs, so I guess we'll post them here as an archive. Soon we shall have enough for an album. But who shall record it?

Visit the New Song Library.
